Regular Hours of Work. (a) Regular hours of work for Full-time Employees, exclusive of meal periods are:
(i) 7.75 consecutive hours per day; and
(ii) 36.81 hours per week averaged over one (1) complete Cycle of the Shift Schedule.
(b) Regular hours of work shall:
(i) include, as scheduled by the Employer, two (2) rest periods of 15 minutes during each full working Shift of 7.75 hours; or
(ii) include, as scheduled by the Employer, one (1) rest period of 30 minutes during each full working Shift of 7.75 hours if this is more compatible with the scheduling of work assignments; the alternative to be applied shall be at the discretion of the Employer; or
(iii) include, as scheduled by the Employer, one (1) rest period of 15 minutes during each half Shift of not less than four (4) hours; and
(iv) exclude a meal period of 30 minutes to be scheduled by the Employer during each working day on which the Employee works in excess of four (4) hours. Employee requests for meal periods of more than 30 minutes that are compatible with the scheduling of work assignments shall not be unreasonably denied. Where possible, such meal periods shall not be scheduled to occur in the first or last hour of the shift, except by mutual agreement between the Employer and the Employee.
(c) Although meal periods are excluded in the calculation of regular hours of work, Employees required to be readily available for duty during their meal period shall be so advised in advance and paid for those meal periods at their Basic Rate of Pay.
(d) Employees recalled to duty during their meal periods or rest periods or unable to take a rest period or meal period, shall be given a full meal period or rest period later in their Shift, or, where that is not possible, be paid as follows:
(i) for a rest period, at 2X their Basic Rate of Pay rather than at straight time; or
(ii) for a meal period for which the Employee is entitled to be paid under Article 7.01(c), at 2X their Basic Rate of Pay rather than at straight time; or
(iii) for a meal period for which the Employee is not otherwise entitled to be paid, at 2X their Basic Rate of Pay.
(e) Instructors, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Nurse Clinicians may work flexible hours by agreement between the Employee and the Employer.
(f) On the proclaimed date of conversion to Mountain Standard Time, regular hours of work shall be extended to include the additional hour with payment due at the applicable overtime rate. On the proclaimed date when Daylight Saving Time resumes, the o...
Regular Hours of Work. The words "regular hours of work" when used in this Agreement shall mean the assigned daily hours of work, exclusive of overtime.
Regular Hours of Work. The regular hours of work each day for full-time employees, with the exception of Public Works and Parks employees who, due to seasonal demands, may require Saturday and Sunday work days, shall be consecutive eight (8) hour days, Monday through Friday inclusive, except for interruptions for lunch periods. Regular Hours of Work. 6.01.01 Regular Hours of Work a) are based on up to 67.5 hours or 80.0 hours per bi-weekly pay period, exclusive of overtime and lunch periods; and b) may be scheduled between 04:30 and 23:00 hours; and c) will not exceed ten hours per day.
Regular Hours of Work. The Transportation Supervisor will schedule each employee’s hours such that the regular hours of work at the bus garage for the Lead Mechanic, Mechanics and Garage Helper shall be from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or other such mutually agreed to ongoing arrangement between the employee and their immediate supervisor. Notification of this arrangement will be provided to the Union.
Regular Hours of Work a) The hours of work for regular part-time employees will be as follows: - Employees accepting seven (7) or more working hours per day will not be eligible for trips offered from the regular or emergency rotations. - An employee who accepts six (6) or more working hours per day and is eligible to work extra AM route hours is not eligible for regular or emergency trips. - An employee accepting six (6) or more working hours per day and is not eligible to work extra AM route hours will not be eligible for trips from the regular rotation, but will be eligible for trips from the emergency rotation that does not conflict with their regular route and will not generate overtime (40 hours per week). A turndown shall be recorded if the offered trip does conflict. - All drivers will be eligible to accept trips from the regular and emergency rotation for trips which occur during the JTHS Spring and Christmas breaks providing the trips do not conflict with a driver’s regular route. - The Administration maintains the right to use substitute drivers for routes. Substitutes waiting to be hired by the school board can be used to drive any route. Standby drivers will be given first preference to routes. - One ten-minute break is authorized for any continuous shift of six hours or more. Driver-Dispatcher – Part-Time – (10 & 12 month) Five (5) to eight (8) hours per day, depending on schedule determined by Administration. Employee shall get one ten (10) minute break during a continuous shift of five (5) to six (6) hours without loss of pay. Employees working more than six (6) continuous hours shall get a 30 minute unpaid lunch period and a 10-minute break during the morning and afternoon period without loss of pay. Administration. Employee schedules may include regular and standby route assignments or assisting in the office and shop areas. The Administration maintains the right to use substitute bus aides for all routes. One ten-minute break is authorized for any continuous shift of six hours or more.
b) The regular hourly rate shall be paid for all time over five (5) hours as a result of an extended route.
c) School Calendars- All drivers shall follow the Joliet Township High School attendance calendar for breaks and holidays. Drivers who accept an assignment including other schools may be required to work on JTHS holidays and breaks. Regular Hours of Work. In general, and except as otherwise provided herein, the regular hours of work shall be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with not more than one hour off for lunch. The lunch period shall be scheduled between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and when scheduled for less than one hour, adjustment to correspond thereto shall be made in hours of work.
