ARTICLE DEFINITIONS GRADUATE NURSES. A registered nurse is a nurse who holds a General Certificate of Registrationwith the College of Nurses of Ontario in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act, and Nursing NOTE: Where an employee is in a position other than in a registered nursing position with duties and responsibilities which are subject to the Regulated Health Professions Act, she or he shall be treated in a manner consistent with this Article. A nurse who holds a Temporary Certificate of Registration in accordance with the Nursing Act, and its Regulations must obtain her or his General Certificate of Registration prior to the expiry of her or his Temporary Certificate. If the nurse fails to obtain her or his General Certificate of Registration prior to the expiry of her or his Temporary Certificate of Registration, but in any case not longer than two years from her or his date of hire, she or he will be deemed to be not qualified for the position of registered nurse and she or he will be terminated from the employ of the Hospital. Such termination shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration. NOTE: Where an employee is in a position other than in a registered nursing position with duties and responsibilities which are subject to the Regulated Health Professions Act, she or he shall be treated in a manner consistent with this Article.

  • Employee Definitions A Regular Full-Time Employee is an employee who is employed on a full-time basis of 35, 37½, 40 or such other number of weekly hours as is recognized in the Collective Agreement as normal for a particular class of positions, for an indefinite period of time.

  • Special Definitions For purposes of this Section, the following specialized terms will have the following meanings:
