Common use of Assuming a Temporary Position Clause in Contracts

Assuming a Temporary Position. In the event a full time employee is assigned by the BOARD to perform the responsibilities of a higher paid employee who is absent from work, such employee shall be compensated at the absence employee’s hourly rate of pay after she has assumed such responsibilities for a period in excess of ten (10) work days. It is understood the payment shall be retroactive to the first day she assumed the higher paying position.
