Attendance at Public Accounts Committee. 17.1 The Principal/Chief Executive/College Accounting Officer may be summoned to appear before the Public Accounts Committee to give evidence on the discharge of the responsibilities as Accounting Officer (as laid out in the Accounting Officer appointment letter) on issues arising from the Comptroller & Auditor General’s (C&AG) studies or reports following the annual audit of accounts.

Attendance at Public Accounts Committee. 12.1 The Executive Office AO may be summoned to appear before the Public Accounts Committee to give evidence on the discharge of their responsibilities as Departmental AO with overarching responsibilities for the HIARB. In such circumstances, XXX AO may therefore expect to be questioned on their responsibilities to ensure that: • there is a clear strategic control framework for the HIARB; • sufficient and appropriate management and financial controls are in place to safeguard public funds; • the nominated SAO is fit to discharge his or her responsibilities; • there are suitable internal audit arrangements; • TEO accounts are prepared in accordance with the relevant legislation and any accounting direction; and • Intervention is made, where necessary, in situations where the HIARB’s SAO’s advice on transactions in relation to regularity, propriety or value for money is overruled by the body’s Management Board or President.

In such circumstances, the departmental Accounting Officer may therefore expect to be questioned on their responsibilities to ensure that: • there is a clear strategic control framework for the VPB; • sufficient and appropriate management and financial controls are in place to safeguard public funds; • the nominated SAO is fit to discharge his or her responsibilities; • there are suitable internal audit arrangements; and • intervention is made, where necessary, in situations where the VPB’s Accountable Officer’s advice on transactions in relation to regularity, propriety or value for money is overruled by the President.
Attendance at Public Accounts Committee. 13.1 The PCC Chief Executive/Accounting Officer may be summoned to appear before the Public Accounts Committee to give evidence on the discharge of their responsibilities as Accounting Officer (as laid out in their Accounting Officer appointment letter) on issues arising from the C&AG’s studies or reports following the annual audit of accounts.

  • Audit Committee (A) The Audit Committee shall be composed of five members who shall be selected by the Board of Directors from its own members, none of whom shall be an officer of the Company, and shall hold office at the pleasure of the Board.

  • Central      Committee In future central bargaining between Service Employees Union and the participating hospitals, an employee serving on the Union's Central Negotiating Committee shall be paid for time lost from his normal straight time working hours at his regular rate of pay and without loss of leave credits for attending central negotiating meetings with the Hospitals' Central Negotiating Committee in direct negotiations up to the point of arbitration. Upon reference to arbitration, the Negotiating Committee members shall receive unpaid time off for the purpose of attending arbitration hearings. It is understood and agreed that the maximum number of Union Central Negotiating Committee members entitled to payment under this provision shall be eight, and in no case will more than one employee from a hospital be entitled to such payment. The Union shall advise the Hospitals' Central Negotiating Committee, before negotiations commence, of those employees to be paid under this provision. The Hospitals' Central Negotiating Committee shall advise the eight hospitals accordingly. It is understood that this clause does not apply to a hospital that is not participating in Central Bargaining.

  • Executive Committee (A) The Executive Committee shall be composed of not more than nine members who shall be selected by the Board of Directors from its own members and who shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board.

  • SCHOOL STAFF COMMITTEES 1. If the majority of the teaching staff in the school so decide, there shall be established a recognized staff committee in that school.

  • Calendar Committee The calendar committee is charged with the task of collaborating with site base teams in developing the academic calendar. The committee should complete its recommendations by consensus and report these to the Board no later than January 31.
