ATTITUDE TOWARD TEACHERS. All teachers of this district shall insist that students address them properly during the time that they are performing their duties. Students should be discouraged from using first names or nicknames in addressing teachers. Teachers are encouraged to be informal when working in groups with other teachers and administrators; however, they should follow the intent and spirit of the preceding item when addressing professional associates in the presence of students.
