Physical condition of the track Questions concerning the physical conditions of the track in connection with requests for changes in the permitted speed and/or the speed’s effect on environment and comfort can be directed to Banedanmark. Monitoring of wheel and axle load On selected lines Banedanmark has installed ALC systems for monitoring wheel and axle load of the rolling stock as stated in Banenorm BN2-205. Too extensive wheel and axe load can fatigue the components of the track and of the rolling stock. In worst case this can result in damage to the track. In such cases the ALC systems submit alarm, whereupon Banedanmark takes contact to the Railway Undertaking regarding further measures as stated the traffic information related to Banenorm BN2-205 and
