Common use of Bargaining Unit Meetings Clause in Contracts

Bargaining Unit Meetings. The Union shall be permitted, upon prior notification to and approval by the Fire Chief, to hold meetings for members at Departmental Headquarters or other Township building, room or facility at no cost to either party. The Fire Chief shall not unreasonably withhold approval for such meetings. It is intended that normal Departmental operations shall not be disrupted by the use of this provision.

No Member on duty may attend without the permission of the Member's supervisor or the Fire Chief. Any disruptive activity shall not unreasonably withhold approval for such meetings. It is intended that normal Departmental operations shall not be disrupted by immediately cease upon the use request of this provisionthe Fire Chief or designee.
