Bargaining unit member Assault Leave. Assault leave shall be granted to a member of the bargaining unit who is absent from his/her assigned duties because of injury resulting from an assault. Said leave shall not be charged against leave otherwise granted under this contract except as provided hereafter. Said member, after five (5) days use of sick leave, shall be compensated at his/her normal per diem rate, including supplemental contract compensation, less Workers' Compensation (if collectable) and other employment remuneration for a period not to exceed one (1) school year. A member of the bargaining unit shall be granted assault leave according to the following rules:
