Common use of Behaviour and Discipline Clause in Contracts

Behaviour and Discipline. 12.1 We attach great importance to courtesy, integrity, manners, discipline and respect for the needs of others. It is the responsibility of the Parents that the Student attends School each day (see Clause 14), is punctual, works hard, is well behaved and complies with the School’s Code of Conduct. 12.2 The Parents accept that the School will be run in accordance with the authorities delegated by the Governing Body to the Head. The Head is entitled to exercise discretion in relation to the School's policies, rules and procedures and will exercise those discretions in a reasonable and lawful manner and with procedural fairness when the status of the Student is at issue. 12.3 The Parents accept the authority of the Head and of other members of staff on the Head's behalf to take all reasonable disciplinary or preventative action necessary to safeguard and promote the welfare of the Student and the School community as a whole. The School Rules and School’s Behaviour and Discipline Policy (published on the School website and available to Parents on request) apply to all Students when they are on School premises or in the care of the School. The Policy and the School Rules set out the disciplinary process and sanctions applied by the School.
