Common use of Benefit Termination Clause in Contracts

Benefit Termination. An employee eligible for benefits who terminates the employment relationship shall continue to receive benefits through their final month of employment per WAC 000-00-000. Any employee eligible for SEBB who terminates employment shall be entitled to receive the District insurance contribution for the remainder of the calendar month in which the contribution is effective. In cases where separation occurs after completion of the student year, benefit coverage will continue through August 31 unless the employee identifies an earlier resignation date. In cases where employees eligible for SEBB separate after completion of the employee’s full contract obligation (i.e. the end of the employee’s work year as it aligns with the student school year in June) the District will report the resignation as of August 31st and continue such benefits provided the employee states their resignation date August 31st.
