Common use of Board Grievances Clause in Contracts

Board Grievances. (a) In the event of a complaint or grievance arising from an allegation by the Board that the Association has violated a provision of this Agreement, the following procedure will be followed to resolve the matter. (i) A preliminary meeting will be held within ten (10) working days of the alleged violation or such time as is mutually agreeable between the parties, by the Assistant Superintendent – Human Resources and Administrative Services or designate with the Bargaining Unit Executive of the Association to discuss the matter. (ii) If no agreement can be reached, and the Board wishes to continue with the complaint, a meeting with the Director of Education and the Association shall be convened within ten
