Boarding Staff. An Employee shall initially be appointed to the appropriate level as determined by the Employee's skills and duties required to be performed in the position, as set out below: (i) A Level 1 position is one where the Employee undertakes basic duties to assist the person in charge of the boarding house in the daily routines involving the care of students and the general functions of the boarding house. (ii) A Level 2 position is one where the Employee carries out the duties of a Level 1 Employee but while actively on duty may deputise as required from time to time for the person in charge of the boarding house. (iii) A Level 3 position is one where the Employee is responsible for the management of a boarding house and has a significant concern for the welfare of the students. Duties include the maintenance of effective communication with the parents of students and the supervision of other staff covered by this Agreement in the boarding house. (iv) A Level 4 position is one where the Employee is responsible to the Principal of a School for the overall supervision of the recreational and personal general welfare of all students and has overall responsibility for the administration of two or more boarding houses.
