Common use of Bridging of Service Clause in Contracts

If a regular employee resigns after the signing of this agreement as a result of a decision to care for a dependent child or dependent children, spousal illness or disability, or an aging parent and is re-employed with their former employer, upon application they will be credited with length of service accumulated at time of resignation for the purpose of benefits based on service seniority.
