Common use of Bridging of Service Clause in Contracts

Bridging of Service. If a regular employee, who is employed for an Employer as defined in Article 1.02 of the Collective Agreement, terminates as a result of a decision to raise a dependent child or children residing with the employee, and applies for and receives a regular position with the same Employer, she shall be credited with length of service accumulated at the time of termination. The following conditions shall apply:

Bridging of Service. If a regular employee, who is employed for an Employer as defined in Article 1.02 of the Provincial Collective Agreement, terminates as a result of a decision to raise a dependent child or children residing with the employee, and applies for and receives a regular position with the same Employer, she shall be credited with length of service accumulated at the time of termination. The following conditions shall apply:
