Common use of Bridging of Service Clause in Contracts

Bridging of Service. If a regular employee resigns after the signing of this agreement as a result of a decision to care for a dependent child or dependent children, spousal illness or disability, or an ageing parent, and is re- employed upon application, she/he shall be credited with length of service accumulated at time of termination for the purpose of benefits based on service seniority.
