Bridging of Service. If an employee terminates as a result of a decision to care for a dependent parent, spouse or child(ren), and is re-employed they shall be credited with length of service accumulated at time of termination for the purposes of benefits based on service seniority. The following conditions shall apply: (a) the employee must have been an employee with at least two years of seniority at time of termination; (b) the resignation must indicate the reasons for termination; (c) the break in service shall be for not longer than six years; (d) the previous length of service shall not be reinstated until successful completion of the probationary period on re-employment.
