BUDGETARY ALLOWANCES. Work for which budgetary allowances are provided will be measured and valued in accordance with clause 32 of the Principal Building Agreement and deducted in whole or in part if not required without any compensation for loss or profit on the said allowances 9 Allow the sum of R4,000.00 for ironmongery Item Bill No. 3 Carpentry and Joinery 4,000.00
BUDGETARY ALLOWANCES. The following budgetary allowances are for work to be executed at rates in the bills of quantities or to be agreed by the Principal agent:

BUDGETARY ALLOWANCES. 8 . 1 Where the finishing schedule contains any budgetary allowances included in the contract sum for any item, the contract sum shall be adjusted by the omission of all such budgetary allowances, and the addition of the following:
8 . 1 . 1 the normal retail price of such i tem at the date of the installation in the works; plus
8 . 1 . 2 the cost of fixing or installation of such ite m where the extent of such item is not specified or detailed in the specification; plus;
8 . 1 . 3 an amount equal to 10 % of the amount by which the normal retail price of such item exceeds the budgetary allowance for such i tem.
8 . 2 Where the f inishing schedule contain s any items or finishes to be selected by the Client including those in respect of which the finishing schedule provides for budgetary allowance, and the Client fails to make such selection and sign the finishing schedule in respect thereof by the time required to do so in terms of the Information Request Schedule and Programme , the Contractor shall give the Client 7 days written notice to do so, failing which the Contractor shall make such selection and sign the finishing schedule which shall be final and binding on the Client.
8 . 3 If the retail prices of the selected i tems or finishes result in an increase in the contract sum, the Client shall pay the additional amount to the Contractor in terms of Clause 14 . 5 .

BUDGETARY ALLOWANCES. The following Budgetary Allowances are all NET amounts (exclusive of commission or discount for the contractor) and for work to be executed by Nominated/Selected sub-contractors. Under no circumstances may any Provisional or Budgetary amounts be extended at an amount lower than the amount given in the descriptions. Provisional; sums and Budgetary allowances contained herein may be omitted or reduced at the Employer's discretion and the Contractor shall not be entitled to claim for any loss by way of reductions or omission of any discount or percentage relating to Provisional amounts and Budgetary sums or any loss of profit related thereto.
