(a) Casual employees shall accrue seniority on the basis of hours worked, converted to a date by dividing the hours byby 7.5 and counting the equivalent working days backward from the date the calculation is required. Seniority will be calculated on an as-needed basis and will only apply to: • Job competitions; and • Situations where the number of casuals doing the same job within a department is reduced.
