Common use of Carry-over of Annual Vacation Clause in Contracts

Carry-over of Annual Vacation. An employee shall be permitted to carry over up to one week (5 days) of unused vacation from one year to the next. A written request will be submitted by the employee between January 1st and March 1st as per Article 12.2 a). In special circumstances, or certified illness, the Manager may approve the carry-over of additional vacation. This additional vacation must be taken during the year in which it was approved to be used.
