Cash Assistance. The interim final rule included as an enumerated eligible use cash assistance and provided that cash transfers must be ‘‘reasonably proportional’’ to the negative economic impact they address and may not be ‘‘grossly in excess of the amount needed to address’’ the impact. In assessing whether a transfer is reasonably proportional, recipients may ‘‘consider and take guidance from the per person amounts previously provided by the Federal Government in response to the COVID–19 crisis,’’ and transfers for some governments to support the well-being of households and individuals in their communities. Some commenters requested that Treasury set a specific dollar amount for permissible cash transfers, and Treasury has also received recipient questions on whether specific types of transfers, such as those to a substantial share of the population in the jurisdiction, would be a permissible use of funds.

Cash Assistance. Under the amendments to the Social Services Law (SSL) made by Chapter 562 of the Laws of 2015, which amend the SSL to add sections 341-a and 342-a and amendments to 18 NYCRR §385.11, which establish re-engagement/conciliation and sanction procedures for NYC, including changes to the CA sanction periods when a CA applicant or recipient in NYC refuses or fails to comply with a CA work requirement, NYC no longer has durational sanctions for Cash Assistance. Instead, an individual will be able to prevent a sanction from being imposed during the conciliation and/or timely notice of intent period or to have a CA sanction lifted either by demonstrating compliance with agency work rules for at least 5 business days as required by the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) or by demonstrating that s/he is exempt from CA work requirements. For individuals who have been sanctioned for 30 days or more, OTDA will send out a reminder notice. This notice will inform the CA head-of-household that the sanctioned individual may end their sanction by complying with employment requirements or by documenting that they are now exempt. If the sanctioned individual’s household size was equal to 1 at the time of the sanction, as required by OTDA, the individual must also submit a new application and would be subject to application timelines based on case category at the time of reapplication. In addition to OTDA sending out a notice, HRA will also send out the noticeOption to End a Temporary Assistance Sanction” (NYC (LDSS-4231)) to all individuals remaining (and sanctioned/discontinued single-person CA households) that remain sanctioned after 60 days.

The activities shall be designed to strengthen the Participating Teacher’s skill and expertise in accordance with the California Standards for the Teaching Profession in the following areas: mastery of content, instructional skills and techniques, alignment to District approved goals and objectives, classroom management, planning and designing lessons for all children, assessment of student progress toward established standards, appropriate learning environment.

  • Legal Assistance The Board shall give full support including legal and other assistance for any assault upon the employee while properly acting in the discharge of his/her duties.

Roadside Assistance includes replacement of lost keys or key fobs, flat tire service, jumpstart, and key lockout services. When deciding whether to purchase Roadside Assistance, you may wish to check whether you have you have other coverage for the services. Roadside Assistance is not insurance. Roadside Assistance is void if you are in breach of this Agreement, including the prohibited uses in paragraph 5.

  • Educational Assistance To qualify for reimbursement, an employee must be a regular employee upon enrollment. To be approved, the courses described below must be related to the employee's present position or career development:

  • Emergency Assistance Both Parties shall exercise due diligence to avoid or mitigate an Emergency to the extent practical in accordance with applicable requirements imposed by the Standards Authority or contained in the PJM Tariffs and NYISO Tariffs. In avoiding or mitigating an Emergency, both Parties shall strive to allow for commercial remedies, but if commercial remedies are not successful or practical, the Parties agree to be the suppliers of last resort to maintain reliability on the system. For each hour during which Emergency conditions exist in a Party’s Balancing Authority Area, that Party (while still ensuring operations within applicable Reliability Standards) shall determine what commercial remedies are available and make use of those that are practical and needed to avoid or mitigate the Emergency before any Emergency Energy is scheduled in that hour.

  • Transition Assistance If this Contract is not renewed at the end of this term, if the Contract is otherwise terminated before project completion, or if particular work on a project is terminated for any reason, Contractor shall provide transition assistance for a reasonable, mutually agreed period of time after the expiration or termination of this Contract or particular work under this Contract. The purpose of this assistance is to allow for the expired or terminated portion of the services to continue without interruption or adverse effect, and to facilitate the orderly transfer of such services to State or its designees. The parties agree that such transition assistance is governed by the terms and conditions of this Contract, except for those terms or conditions that do not reasonably apply to such transition assistance. State shall pay Contractor for any resources utilized in performing such transition assistance at the most current Contract rates. If State terminates a project or this Contract for cause, then State may offset the cost of paying Contractor for the additional resources Contractor utilized in providing transition assistance with any damages State may have sustained as a result of Contractor’s breach.
