Common use of Casual Bump Up Clause in Contracts

Casual Bump Up. If a full or part-time position comes available and the most senior declared casual applies, they will be assigned the position over other casuals. Further, if the most senior Declared Casual is successful, their unit seniority will commence from the date of full or part-time status.

Casual Bump Up. If a full full-time or part-time position comes available and the most senior declared casual appliesapplies (from date of hire) for the position, they will be assigned the position given priority over other casuals. This clause does not give casuals seniority amongst casuals. Further, if the most senior Declared Casual casual is successful, their unit seniority will commence from the date of full full-time or part-time status.
