Certification Decision. The assessment team hands over the audit records (audit report, list of completed VBM, audit checklist, attendance list) which serve as the basis for the certification committee's decision. A positive certification decision can only be made if all certification criteria are met and any critical non-conformity has been successfully resolved. No member of the evaluation team shall be a member of the certification committee and vice versa. The certification body (the actual authorized signatories) make the decision based on the opinions of the certification committee. A certificate is to be issued for a period of up to 5 years. The assessment of whether there is a positive evaluation result is the sole responsibility of the CAB.
