Chair Usage – Classified Staff Employees. Paraprofessionals assigned to hall monitoring duties shall be provided with a chair on which they can sit beginning ten (10) minutes after the student full period class attendance bell is chimed until twenty (20) minutes after the student full period class attendance bell has chimed throughout the duration of the workday, when students are in attendance. Paraprofessionals will remain vigilant and responsible for their supervision area during such time as they are provided seating. Further, nothing in this section shall construe that paraprofessionals must be seated during this time. Paraprofessionals shall move to any area of their responsibility in order to maintain the safety and security of students, employees and facilities.
