Courses in Educational Law. Any teacher who has completed degree or coursework requirements that qualify the teacher for educational salary advancement shall receive such salary adjustment effective with the onset or mid- point (12th or 14th pay period) of the school term, providing the official transcript verifying the advancement is received by the office of the Superintendent not later than August 25th or January 10th, respectively. In the event coursework is completed by the respective deadline but transcript issuance is delayed, the teacher may provide written notification to the Superintendent’s designee prior to the aforementioned deadline and receive the appropriate salary advancement once the transcript is received. Teachers, who have been on the final step of the XX xxxx for more than one (1) year under prior Agreements or who may reach and remain on the final step of the BA or BA+15 lane of this Agreement for more than one (1) year and who subsequently attain the hours or degree necessary to move to a new lane with additional steps, shall be placed on the same step of the new lane as other teachers with like experience.

  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act The Charter School is subject to all provisions of the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, 20 U.S.C. § 1232g. In the event the Charter School closes, it shall transmit all official student records in the manner prescribed by the State Board.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Educational Assistance Section 1. Tuition reimbursement shall be provided to employees covered by this collective bargaining AGREEMENT under the same terms and conditions, policies and procedures as the rest of Hennepin County and reflecting a county–wide pool for funding. See Hennepin County Tuition Reimbursement Policy Frequently Asked Questions Section 2. Where courses are required and certified by the appointing authority as essential to current job performance, such appointing authority shall grant 100% reimbursement for tuition, required fees and required study materials. Section 3. At the request of an employee, an Individual Development Plan shall be established. Any employee making the request shall be provided with paid time to work with their Supervisor or Human Resources to develop a training plan for career development within Hennepin County. Human Resources will be a source of career information, and postings, in which the employee may have an interest. Time allotted for this activity and the training plan adopted shall be subject to mutual agreement of the Employee and Supervisor.

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund effective January 1st, 2013 and each year thereafter, two thousand ($2,000.00) for the purpose of providing Paid Education Leave. Said Paid Education Leave will be for the purpose of upgrading the Dependent Contractor’s skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such monies will be paid into a trust fund established by the National Union, Unifor and sent by the Company to the following address: Unifor Education Leave Program c/o Unifor 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxxx, XX X0X 0X0 The Company further agrees that members of the bargaining unit selected by the Union to attend such courses will be granted a Leave of Absence without pay for twenty (20) days class time, plus travel time where necessary, with said Leave of Absence to be intermittent over a twelve (12) month period from the first day of leave. Dependent Contractors on such leave will continue to accrue seniority and benefits during such leave.
