Changes to Existing Classifications/Positions. a) Where the Employer makes a substantive change to the nature of the job duties or where the Employer requires a reclassification, or where the employee considers his job duties to have changed substantively so as to warrant placing the employee in a new classification, the employee may request a review of his classification and adjustment to his rate of pay. b) The employee must submit the request in writing to his supervisor outlining the nature in the substantive change in duties. c) The General Manager will consider the request and will render a decision to the employee within 60 calendar days. d) The employee may file an appeal with the Employer no later than 30 calendar days from receipt of the Employer’s decision. e) The Union and the Employer will meet to negotiate the matter to determine whether the duties have been substantively changed. Should a satisfactory resolution not be possible, the parties will refer the matter to the adjudication process in accordance with Article 19.4. f) When a position is reclassified in (c), (d), or (e) above, the Employer will post the position in accordance with Article 8.3.
