Temporary Performance of Higher Duties. An employee who is temporarily assigned higher duties for a period of more than four (4) days shall be paid the minimum of the range for the higher position or an additional eight percent (8%), whichever is greater.
Temporary Performance of Higher Duties. (a) Where the Employer designates an Employee to temporarily perform the duties of a higher paid in-scope classification, for a period of one (1) day or longer, the Employee shall be notified in writing by the Employer with a copy to Human Resources and the union. The Employee shall be paid a premium of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour.
(b) Where the Employer designates an Employee to temporarily perform the duties of a higher paid out of scope classification, for a period of one (1) day or longer, the Employee shall be notified in writing by the Employer with a copy to Human Resources and the union. The Employee shall be paid a premium of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour or such higher amount as may be determined by the Employer.
Temporary Performance of Higher Duties. (a) Where the Employer designates an Employee to temporarily perform the duties of a higher paid in-scope classification, for a period of one (1) day or longer, the Employee shall be paid a premium of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour or such higher amount as may be determined by the Employer.
(b) Where the Employer designates an Employee to temporarily perform the duties of a higher paid out of scope classification, for a period of one (1) day or longer, the Employee shall be notified in writing by the Employer with a copy to Human Resources and the union. The Employee shall be paid a premium of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour or such higher amount as may be determined by the Employer.
(c) An Employee required to temporarily assume duties of a lower paid classification shall continue to receive the rate of pay applicable to the Employee's classification prior to such temporary assignment.
(d) A temporary assignment of less than one (1) day shall not be applied to circumvent the above stated provisions.
(e) A temporary assignment exceeding one year shall be reviewed by the union and Employer to determine the need for continuance.
Temporary Performance of Higher Duties. An Employee who is temporarily assigned higher duties shall be paid in accordance with the promotional formula.
Temporary Performance of Higher Duties. An employee who is temporarily assigned to a higher classification shall be paid for all full days worked in accordance with the promotional formula in Article 19.7.
Temporary Performance of Higher Duties. Where the Employer gives a clear directive assigning an employee to perform the duties of a higher in-scope position, the employee shall be paid on the following basis:
a) For all hours assigned and so worked, the employee shall be paid at a step in the higher range which provides a minimum increase of nine percent (9%) over his/her current rate, however, in no case shall it be less than the minimum or more than the maximum of the range for the higher class.
b) Increments for Temporary Performance of Higher Duties When an employee is assigned temporary performance of higher duties continuously for more than one (1) year, he/she shall be entitled to annual increments in the range for the higher paid position, one (1) year after any increment is granted to him/her under (a) of this Article. However, where the employee before such increment date, becomes entitled to an increment under the salary range for his/her permanent position, which would result in a higher salary, his/her increment date for the higher range shall be that for his/her permanent position.
c) Permanent employees shall be assigned to the duties of a higher in-scope position by work unit, provided they are qualified, on a rotational basis. It is agreed that permanent employees shall be offered such higher duties prior to calling in casual employees in accordance with Article 14.07.
Temporary Performance of Higher Duties. An employee who is assigned higher duties shall be paid accordingly to the promotional formula: of a minimum increase of 8% of gross salary or the next step in the TPHD classification whichever is greater. Tuition fees for employer required classes or education shall be paid by the employer. An employee may request funding for additional educational opportunities of the Board. The Board shall not unreasonably deny requests that may contribute to the performance of ones work duties.
Temporary Performance of Higher Duties. Prior to the application of Article 27.04
a) The Employer(s) determines that work of a higher paid classification is necessary, the Employer(s) shall make every reasonable effort to allocate that assignment to existing Employees in that department or classification based on seniority, qualifications and ability sufficient to perform the job.
b) An Employee temporarily assigned to perform duties in accordance with a) above, shall be advanced in the pay band of the higher paid classification to that step in the salary scale which is next higher than the current salary rate, for all hours worked in the higher classification.
c) No Employee shall be required to perform duties in a higher classification against their wishes when other Employees are available to perform the required work.
Temporary Performance of Higher Duties a) At the discretion of the Employer an employee may be temporarily assigned to perform the duties of a higher paid position.
b) In the event the employee is assigned to perform the duties of a higher paid position for one (1) full day or more, the employee will be paid a five percent (5%) increase, based on the employee’s current rate of pay or at the bottom rate of the higher classification whichever is greater, from the first hour of the assignment.
c) In instances where the movement to temporary higher duties results in a pay increase (as per Article 20.8 b)) of greater than twenty percent (20%) and where the Employer is not assigning the full range of higher duties, the increase shall be fifty percent (50%) of the difference between the base of the range of the temporarily assigned position and the incumbent’s current rate of pay. This premium shall be payable on all hours of the assignment.
d) Should the employee book off sick while filling in temporary duties at a higher rate of pay, sick pay shall be paid at the same rate that is was recorded in the previous position.
Temporary Performance of Higher Duties a) The temporary performance of higher position duties shall be defined as the assignment of an employee by management to perform the duties of a position within a class having a higher maximum hourly rate of pay. If the employee is not assigned, she shall not perform such duties.
b) i) If the assignment is for ninety (90) continuous days or less, the employee shall receive payment in accordance with this Article. If the assignment continues for more than ninety (90) days, the assignment may be extended for not more than thirty (30) days, or the employee's position may be temporarily reclassified in accordance with Article 22.11 (Temporary Reclassification).
