Character and Continuity of Service. (a) The Operating Agent may temporarily interrupt or curtail deliveries of capacity and energy under this Agreement to Assignee if it determines that such interruption or curtailment is necessary in case of emergencies or in order to install equipment in or make repairs to or replacements, investigations, and inspections of or to perform other maintenance work on the Project facilities, provided, however, that such interruption or curtailment shall not relieve Assignee of its obligation to make payments under this Agreement. After informing Assignee regarding any such planned interruption or curtailment, giving the reason therefor, and stating the probable duration thereof, Assignor will, to the best of its ability, cause the scheduling of such interruption or curtailment at a time which will cause the least interference with the operations of Assignee. If LADWP is the Operating Agent, then, for any scheduling of any interruption or curtailment approved by the Operating Agent, Assignor will be deemed to have complied with this Section 19(a).

Character and Continuity of Service. (a) The Authority may temporarily interrupt or reduce the treatment and transmission of water to any or all of the Participants if the Operator determines that such interruption or reduction is necessary in case of emergencies or in order to install equipment in or make repairs to or replacements, investigations, and inspections or to perform other maintenance work on the Project. In the case of a planned interruption or reduction, the Operator will notify the affected Participant or Participants of such interruption or reduction, giving the reason therefore, and stating the probable duration thereof. The Operator will use its best efforts to schedule such interruption or reduction at a time which will cause the least interference with the operations of the Participants.

After informing the California Purchasers regarding any such planned interruption or curtailment, giving the reason therefor, and stating the probable duration thereof, IPA on behalf of each of the Sellers will, to the best of its ability, cause the scheduling of such interruption or curtailment at a time which will cause the least interference with the operations of the California Purchasers.
Character and Continuity of Service. The Authority will not be required to provide, or be liable for failure to provide, service under this contract or any Supplemental Contract when such failure or the cessation or curtailment of or interference with the service is caused by force majeure or, with respect to the services to be provided for Authority Gas Supplies, is caused by the failure or refusal of any other gas supplier to enter into reasonable contracts with the Authority or by the inability of the Authority to obtain any required governmental approvals to enable the Authority to acquire Authority Gas Supplies.

Character and Continuity of Service. Capacity and energy generated by Unit #2 hereunder shall be three-phase alternating current at approximately sixty (60) cycles per second. Square Butte may temporarily interrupt or reduce deliveries of electric energy to Minnesota Power if Square Butte determines that such interruption or reduction is necessary in case of emergencies affecting the ability of Square Butte to produce power or deliver power from Unit #2. Planned outages of Unit #2 shall be in accordance with the terms of the Joint Operating Agreement.

The District may temporarily interrupt or reduce deliveries of electric energy to the Purchaser if the District determines that such interruption or reduction is necessary in case of emergencies. In order to install equipment in, make repairs to, replacements, investigations and inspections of, or perform other maintenance work on the Wanapum Development, and in order that operations of the Purchasers will not be unreasonably interrupted or interfered with, the District, after consulting with the Purchaser regarding any such planned interruption or reduction, giving the reason therefor and stating the probable duration thereof, will to the best of its ability schedule such interruption at a time which will cause the least interference to the operations of the Purchaser and the operations of other Purchasers of power from the Wanapum Development.
