D. In-load class session per week per semester commencing after or continuing beyond 6 p.m. Evening class sessions which are assigned in order to bring the bargaining unit employee up assignments shall fall within a continuous five-day workweek.
E. The exceptions to the assigned normal teaching load as defined eight-hour, twelve-hour, and five-day provisions in Section 49 of this contract will not be counted in the determination of evening class session assignment limits. Each bargaining unit employee B., C., and D., will be entitled to designate in writing before semester assignments are made one (as follows:
1) . The faculty member may request an exception; or
2. The faculty member may request an overload assignment free evening per week for that semester. An employee which, if granted, may necessitate an exception.
F. The faculty member shall not be required without his or her permission to teach in any one evening a class involving more than five (5) contact hours commencing after 5 p.m. Subject to the limitations below, a bargaining unit employee may not, without his or her permission, be initially assigned to teach an offclasses in consecutive periods at two different campuses.
X. In making assignments for a full-campus session of a time faculty member's regular load, the Administration acknowledges that the full-time faculty member has priority for class if a different session of that class is being taught on campus by a schedules in his own regular load over part-time faculty and over full-time faculty overload assignments within the same discipline.
H. When it is necessary to make multi-campus assignments, assignments requiring more than three different preparations, or assignments of courses not previously taught, the Administration shall make such assignments on an equitable basis. When a faculty member is selected to teach a non-bargaining unit employee during hours when credit course, the bargaining unit employee could faculty member will be scheduled to teach sameoffered a supplemental activity contract and will be paid at a mutually agreed upon rate. The preceding sentence shall not apply, however, to the Employer’s right to assign up to ten faculty members, per semester, to off campus sites. However, each faculty member may be assigned only once during any three year period, without selected must have approval of his or her permission. It is understood that the foregoing shall not preclude reassignment of a bargaining unit employee whose on-campus class has been cancelled to teach an off- campus session of that class which otherwise would have been taught by a part-time non-bargaining unit employee. If an employee is assigned duties on a Saturday or Sunday, s/he shall be granted two (2) consecutive days off during the next calendar week, or in the alternative shall be granted three (3) non- consecutive days off during the next calendar week. For purposes of the foregoing, a “day” shall be defined as a twenty-four (24) consecutive hour period commencing at 12:01 a.Xxxx.
