Work Load and Preparation Periods. POLICY All teachers will be scheduled according to the Montana School Accreditation Standards. It is possible due to increase in students that an occasional class may be over minimum standards in regard to the number of students. Any major deviation above maximum class size shall be discussed with the educator involved and a MVEA representative if he/she desires. It will be resolved by mutual consent. (effective 7/1/05) The duty day shall begin at 7:40 a.m. and end at 3:40 p.m. Monday through Thursday. During early release days including Fridays, teachers are required to stay at least ten (10) minutes after the dismissal xxxx. (effective 7/1/17) The duty year shall consist of up to 187 work days. Work Load and Preparation Periods. In the event the District adds a class section which would require an instructor to teach seven periods per day via a seven period class schedule, the school district will offer said teacher one-seventh of their current contract as compensation. This clause would affect grade 7-12 instructors. Compensation will be based on per diem per day, depending on when the extra class would begin and end.

  • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as closely as possible to the middle of the workday. The length of the meal period shall be not less than thirty (30) minutes and not more than sixty (60) minutes.

  • Preparation Period During the preparation period, a teacher will have no other assignment except in an emergency situation. It is recognized that the preparation period is a scheduled part of the teacher's work day and the teacher is expected to be in his/her respective Building. If the teacher must leave the Building during his/her preparation and/or lunch period, he/she must notify the Building switchboard operator.

  • Joint Preparation The preparation of this Agreement has been a joint effort of the parties and the resulting documents shall not, solely as a matter of judicial construction, be construed more severely against one of the parties than the other.
