Common use of Classified Service Clause in Contracts

Classified Service. The positions which have been classified by the Board as not requiring certification by the office of the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges. Excluded from the Classified Service are substitutes, short-term employees as defined by the Education Code, student assistants employed part time, apprentices, and professional experts employed on a temporary basis for specific projects.
