Common use of Compensation and Leave Clause in Contracts

Compensation and Leave. 1. An employee shall not, through a combination of temporary disability indemnity payments and paid sick leave or paid leave pursuant to Section 4850 of the Labor Code, receive payment in excess of their wage rate. The amount paid for such leaves shall be decreased by the amount of any temporary disability for the same period to which the employee is or may be entitled under Workers' Compensation.
