Compensation for Emergency Sick Leave. Whenever any employee has exhausted all accumulated sick leave, together with the ten (10) days allocated for any individual year, and has furnished to the Board a Physician's Statement that said sickness required continued absence of said employee, then said employee may, commencing with the fourth day following the exhausting of all accumulations of sick leave, be granted additional compensation calculated on the basis of the employee's day's salary less the rate of compensation then being paid by the Board to substitute teachers in accordance with the N.J.S.A. 18A:30-6. A day's salary is defined as 1/200th of the annual salary.

  • Overload Compensation ‌ An instructional faculty member may be given overload compensation for additional instructional responsibilities beyond the normal work day or work year. The conditions and compensation of all overload duties shall be established prior to the beginning of additional instructional work. The rate of compensation shall be paid on a prorated salary basis. When calculating the prorated hourly salary under this section, the academic year salary shall be divided by 1344 hours. Faculty members have the option of refusing additional work assignments: when this occurs the rate of compensation will be agreed upon between the employer and the faculty member.

  • PROFESSIONAL COMPENSATION A. The basic salaries of teachers covered by this Agreement are set forth in Appendix A which is attached to and incorporated in this Agreement. Such salary schedule shall remain in effect during the designated periods.
