Compensation for Escort Duty. When an employee on duty is required to attend a patient as an escort and the time involved on a trip exceeds the employee's regular time, he/she shall receive the time off or pay at his/her option at the applicable overtime rates for all time in excess of the normal hours which the employee spends with the patient or attends to the needs of the patient.
Compensation for Escort Duty. When an employee on duty is required to attend a patient as an escort during an ambulance trip (air, road, etc.) and the time in- volved on a trip exceeds the employee's regular shift, they shall receive time off or pay, at their option, at the applicable over- time rates for all time in excess of their normal shift which the employee spends with the patient or attending to the needs of the patient.
(i) Eight (8) Hour Shifts-Returning Within Seven and One-Half Hours
(ii) Twelve (12) Hour Shifts-Returning Within Eleven and One Quarter (11 1/4) Hours
