Normal Shift. The normal straight time hours of work for employees shall be based on eight (8) consecutive hours of work in any twenty-four (24) hour period commencing at the start of the employee’s first regularly scheduled shift for five (5) consecutive days in any calendar week.

Normal Shift. Normally, the shift schedule for Service Technicians will be eight and one half (8.5) consecutive hours between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with one-half (1/2) hour unpaid meal period. All additional work performed before or after an assigned eight and one half (8.5) consecutive hour shift shall be at the overtime rates outlined in Article 7.

Normal Shift. The normal work hours shall be twelve (12) hours and the normal schedule shall consist of a thirty-five (35) day cycle. Each location will their schedule In with needs. All by an employee in excess of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours a cycle, out of a change from one crew to another, will be paid at the rate. When as a of being re-assigned from one crew to another, an employee works in excess of four (4) consecutive shifts without any lime off, they will be paid the applicable overtime rate on all subsequent consecutive shifts. The maximum number of maintenance workers who can be assigned to a full shift schedule will be two (2) per shift. Additional maintenance workers required on these shifts will be paid in accordance with the collective agreement provisions that apply to varied hours of work. When shift workers are required to temporarily work hours normally worked by non-shift workers, adjustments of time off be made by the Compensation Department the following manner:
Normal Shift. If employees are required to work more than four (4) hours of overtime immediately following their normal working shift they will be provided with a hot meal, if available or, alternatively, they will be paid one-half hour in lieu of a meal at the prevailing overtime rate.

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Hour Shift An eight (8) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid one-half (1/2) hour meal period, and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.

  • Afternoon Shift (i) Afternoon Shift is any shift where the normal ceasing time is later than 6.00 p.m. but not later than midnight. (ii) The additional loading for ordinary hours only shall be twenty-five percent (25%) of the all purpose rate applying to the Employees' classification.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Normal Work Day The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, Monday through Friday, provided however that nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any EMPLOYEE eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week. A single shift shall consist of eight (8) hours of continuous employment, except for unpaid lunch period, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Normal Working Hours Prevailing Wage Rate Projects: Work performed from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00

  • Weekdays All work performed outside of the designated shift Monday through Friday shall be paid at time and one-half (1-1/2) the straight-time hourly wage rate.

  • Time Off Between Shifts Failure to provide the minimum number of hours between the commencement of an employee's scheduled shift and the commencement of such employee's next scheduled shift shall result in payment of one and one-half (1½) times the employee's regular straight time hourly rate for only those hours which reduce the minimum hour period. Where the minimum period is reduced as a result of an approved change of shift(s) requested by the employee(s), such premium payment shall not apply. The minimum number of hours for purposes of this Article shall be determined locally and will be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • Minimum Break between Shifts (a) Where it is necessary to work extended overtime, it is agreed that no Employee shall resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty between the termination of the overtime and the commencement of the Employee’s ordinary work on the next day or shift. (b) In the event that an Employee agrees to a request from site management to resume or continue to work without having had ten consecutive hours off duty, the Employee shall be paid at double ordinary time rates until the Employee is released from duty for such period.
