Compressed Work Day. A compressed work day shall be defined as ten (10) hours of consecutive work exclusive of one (1) unpaid meal period of thirty (30) minutes in the middle of an employee’s shift, and three (3) paid fifteen (15) minute rest periods that are to be spread out evenly throughout the employee’s shift.

  • Compressed Work Week The Company and Union recognize the concept of the compressed work week. It is further understood that the compressed work week conditions will apply only to those departments that are on the compressed work week.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day.
