Work Week and Work Day. (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.
(b) (applicable to part-time employees only) The normal or standard work day shall be seven and one-half (7½) hours per day and the normal or standard full- time work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one- half (37½) hours per week except in those hospitals where agreements already provide a normal or standard work day of less than seven and one-half hours and a normal or standard full-time work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this article.) Part-time employees shall be entitled to overtime pay at the rate of time and one-half their regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day or in excess of the normal or standard full-time work week. The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.
(c) Where the Hospital and the Union agree, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Labour, other arrangements regarding hours of work may be entered into between parties on a local level with respect to tours beyond the normal or standard work day in accordance with the provisions set out in Article 25.01 of the collective agreement.
Work Week and Work Day. The normal work week for all full-time permanent employees shall be forty (40) hours. The work week shall commence at 0:00 hours on Sunday and end at 23:59 hours on Saturday. The normal work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours, or ten (10) consecutive hours for those scheduled to work four (4) days a week. Routine work normally performed by Wildlife Officers within work day may include but not be limited to: enforcement, public relations, phone calls, etc.
Work Week and Work Day. The work week shall be from 0000 hours on Sunday through 2359 hours on Saturday. Eight (8) hours shall constitute the basic shift exclusive of a one-half (½) hour unpaid meal period. Nothing in this or any other provision of this Agreement constitutes a minimum guarantee of work.
Work Week and Work Day. The normal work week shall consist of forty (40) hours within a seven (7) day period or eighty (80) hours within a fourteen (14) day period. The normal work day shall consist of eight (8) hours, plus an unpaid meal period of one-half (½) hour, unless an innovative work schedule has been established under Section 7.1.1, Innovative Work Schedule, creating a different normal work day. For purposes of innovative work schedules, the term “normal work day” means the regularly scheduled shift agreed upon by the nurse.
Work Week and Work Day. A. The individual bargaining unit member work week shall normally consist of five (5) consecutive days.
B. The basic work day is eight (8) hours and the basic work week is forty (40) hours. This provision shall not be construed as a guarantee by the school system of eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours of work per week. Working hours may vary depending upon the requirement of different job classifications, length of service by the member per year, and needs of the school district.
Work Week and Work Day. (a) The normal or standard full-time work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) hours per week over a fixed two week period. The fixed two week period shall begin within one day of the start of the pay period. The start of the fixed two week period need not be the same in all work areas. The Hospital will document the fixed two week period in each area and provide a copy to the Union. Unless otherwise specified, the start of the fixed two week period shall be Saturday.
(b) The normal or standard part-time work week shall be less than seventy-five hours over the fixed two week period described in a) above.
(c) The normal or standard work day shall be a seven and one-half hour continuous period exclusive of a one-half hour unpaid meal break.
(d) No employee will be permitted to work split shifts.
(e) Where the Hospital and Union agree, other innovative and flexible schedules may be created by letter of agreement.
Work Week and Work Day. 8.1.1 Effective July 1, 2002, the paid days for unit members employed on a twelve-month basis shall total 260 during each fiscal year of service. During any fiscal year, if the paid days (including workdays, paid leaves, vacation and holidays) exceed 260, the excess number of days shall be designated as recess days (unpaid non-workdays). In each fiscal year, the appropriate number of days shall be so designated and scheduled with the prior approval of the supervisor. In the event this number of days has not been observed prior to June 28 (or the prior business day is June 28 is not a business day), the supervisor shall designate such unpaid non- workdays prior to the end of the fiscal year.
8.1.1.1 Full-time employment within this representation unit consists of a forty, (40) hour workweek rendered in units of eight (8) hours. The workweek shall consist of up to five (5) consecutive workdays for all employees rendering service averaging four (4) hours or more per day during the workweek. Except by mutual agreement of the supervisor and the employee, the normal workweek shall be Monday through Friday for unit members employed prior to September 1, 1989. The agreement between the employee and supervisor modifying the Monday to Friday workweek shall include the time period for such modification. Unit members hired after September 1, 1989, shall be employed by the District for up to a five, (5) consecutive day workweek Monday through Saturday. The workweek for unit members hired after September 1, 1989, may also be subsequently modified by the District to a workweek of up to five (5) consecutive days Monday through Saturday, provided the District notifies the employee at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance of such change. Prior to the assignment of unit members hired after September 1, 1989, to a workweek of other than Monday to Friday, the District shall announce this opportunity so that those interested employees with greater District seniority may be considered.
8.1.2 The workday and workweek for all unit members shall be established and fixed by the District, consistent with Section 8.1.1.
8.1.3 The District retains the right to extend the regular workday or workweek of employees, with appropriate compensation, when it deems it necessary to carry out the District's business.

The work week shall consist of forty hours 3 commencing at 0000 hours on Sunday and continuing through 2359 hours on Saturday. 4 The normal work day shall consist of eight consecutive hours, plus an unpaid meal 5 period of one-half hour (subject to management approval, coordinator positions may 6 take up to one hour). Where mutually agreeable to the Agency and the nurse 7 concerned (on a posted work schedule to posted work schedule basis), a normal work 8 day may consist of alternate shift lengths as defined in Section 8.5 or short shifts as 9 defined in Appendix G. Nothing in this or any other provision of this Agreement 10 constitutes a minimum guarantee of work.
Work Week and Work Day. (a) The work week shall consist of 7 consecutive calendar days starting and ending at midnight on a day designated by the Company, or the starting or quitting time of the “scheduled” shift that overlaps midnight on the day so designated, as determined by the Company. The work day shall be a period of 24 hours beginning and ending at midnight, or the starting or quitting time of the shift that overlaps midnight, as determined by the Company.
(b) The Company will provide fourteen (14) calendar days advance notice of any change in the designated work week.
(c) The scheduling of employees' daily and weekly working hours, including the scheduling of employees to work more or less than eight (8) hours in a work day or forty (40) hours in a work week, shall be determined solely by the Company. However, to the extent practicable, work schedules shall include work days between eight (8) and twelve (12) consecutive hours (exclusive of an unpaid lunch period where provided by the Company) and work weeks of between thirty-six (36) and forty-eight (48) hours. This Section 1 (c) shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work or pay.
