Conditions During an Unpaid Leave of Absence. Employees granted an unpaid leave of absence shall be subject to the following conditions: Subd. 1. All benefits earned by the employee shall be frozen as of the date of the beginning of a leave of absence. Upon return to duty at the expiration of the leave of absence the employee's frozen benefits shall be reinstated. Subd. 2. Employees may continue to participate in the group insurance programs established by Article VIII, by assuming the full cost of the monthly premiums.
