Confirmation of Election. An Employee who has made an election in accordance with Article Issuance of Notice, Discussion of Options and Time to Select Option shall have the election confirmed in writing by the Employer with a copy to the Local Union. Employees with a confirmed election shall be relieved of notice of layoff and will move to their new position as soon as possible. Employees unable to move to their confirmed position within the defined notice period may be assigned alternate employment.
