Contact Hours/Workweek. ‌ (a) The normal workweek shall be Monday to Friday. (b) A full direct instructional workload shall be at a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) hours per week and described as a percentage (%) of the Full Time Equivalency (FTE) allocation, based on program norms (see Appendix I). Each program will establish an annual direct instructional workload. Health programs will be based on an average workload consisting of clinical and class theory. Any changes or exceptions to the program norms will be reviewed with the Union and require Executive approval. The rate of pay shall be as per the Salary Scale (Appendix A). There are two (2) components of instructional workload (whether face to face, online or blended): (1) Direct instructional component, which include the following responsibilities: • classroom lectures; • shop and laboratory supervision and instruction; • classroom learning sessions; • seminars/tutorials/discussion groups. (2) Indirect instructional component, which include the following responsibilities: • student interviews; • posted office hours; • instructional advising, evaluation, and preparation; • administrative responsibilities; • curriculum maintenance and program enhancement; • professional development activities; • other duties directly related to instruction, including department meetings and department initiatives; • liaising on student placements and assessments. (c) Self direction is a key aspect to meet indirect instructional professional responsibilities. (d) A Chair or non-instructional workload shall be up to a maximum of thirty-five (35) hours per week, and described as a percentage (%) of the Full Time Equivalency (FTE) allocation. Indirect instructional components may also be assigned to this workload. The rate of pay shall be as per the Salary Scale (Appendix A). (e) Instructional and non-instructional assignments will be determined by the Xxxx, Director or Campus Academic Administrator in consultation with faculty members. A faculty member may request a review of their workload. If disagreement exists the matter shall be referred to the Labour Management Committee for further consultation. The review process does not limit the grievance process. (f) The number of hours per week for faculty members carrying both an instructional and non- instructional assignment shall be determined on a proportional basis. The number of hours per week for an employee carrying a non-instructional assignment shall be up to a maximum of thirty-five (35) hours per week. The number of hours per week for employees carrying both an instructional and non-instructional assignment shall be determined on a proportional basis. The rate of pay shall be as per the Salary Scale (Appendix A). (c) Contact hours will include: • classroom lectures; • shop and laboratory shop supervision and instruction; • classroom learning sessions; • seminar/discussion groups. In addition, the contact hour assignment may include: • student interviews; • posted office hours; • instructional advising, evaluation, and preparation; • administrative responsibilities; • curriculum maintenance and program enhancement; • curriculum development activities; • other duties directly related to instruction. Such assignments will be determined by the Xxxx in consultation with instructors. (d) Subject to departmental needs, an alternative normal work-week or biweekly pay period to a maximum of 56 (fifty-six) hours, or seventy (70) hours for a non-instructional assignment, may be instituted by mutual agreement of the Xxxx, Director, or Regional Campus Principal and the employee.   • Hours Worked For the purpose of computing the number of hours worked, all time during which an employee is in paid status shall be construed as hours worked.

  • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority. If there is a change in their workweek, employees will be given written notification by the appointing authority or their designee.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week for full-time employees covered by this Agreement shall be forty (40) hours, exclusive of the time allotted for meal periods, consisting of five (5) consecutive work days followed by two (2) consecutive days off. The week shall commence with the shift that includes 12:01 A.M. Sunday of each calendar week and end at the start of the shift that includes 12:00 midnight the following Saturday. The Employer retains the right to modify the work schedules to meet operational needs.

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Weekend Work (1) All ordinary hours of work performed between midnight on Friday and midnight on Sunday shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half.

  • Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Normal Hours of Work 10A.01 The normal work day is defined as the twenty-four (24) hour period beginning at 12:00 Midnight. 10A.02 The employer has the option of working either five (5) eight (8) hour days or four (4) ten

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.

  • Ordinary Hours of Work The ordinary hours of work will be worked any time between 6.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Ordinary hours of work may be varied by agreement between the Employer and the majority of the employees concerned and the ETU State Secretary (via the relevant full time ETU Official) to accommodate the hours or work required for the most efficient and safe operation of the Employer and the requirements of its client. Where agreement is reached to work alternate hours, occupational health and safety principles will prevail. Proper health monitoring procedures will be introduced and suitable rosters clearly agreed prior to commencing work. Adequate supervision must always be provided. Matters on which agreement may be reached include: a) How the hours are to be averaged in a work cycle b) The duration of the work cycle
