Workday/Workweek a. The regular workweek for participating unit members shall be a four-day, forty-hour workweek.
b. If, in order to implement this program, the department must rescind previously approved leave, the department will pay non-reimbursed reservation costs incurred by an employee as the result of the leave rescission
Workday/Workweek. A. The normal workweek for each full-time employee shall be forty (40) hours.
B. The University retains the right to schedule its employees; however, the University will make a good faith effort, whenever practical, to provide employees with consecutive hours in the workday and consecutive days in the workweek.

Workday/Workweek. The normal work week for all employees shall be established on the principle of thirty-five (35) hours within a five (5) day week Monday through Saturday. The normal work day shall consist of a scheduled period of seven (7) hours.

The workweek shall consist of forty (40) hours based on five (5) eight (8) hour workdays and two (2) consecutive days off or four (4) consecutive ten (10) hour workdays and three (3) consecutive days off. The workweek shall be defined as to begin Sunday with the commencement of the first shift and conclude Saturday, upon completion of the third shift. A member may voluntary request to waive the mandated two (2) or three (3) consecutive days off during a workweek, with supervisory approval. When a member has Saturday and Sunday as scheduled consecutive days off, Sunday shall be considered to be the first day off and Saturday is considered to be the second day off. Members working a four (4) day, ten (10) hour workweek may be required to convent to a five (5) day, eight (8) workweek for special assignments such as outside schools, in-service training of forty (40) hours per week, etc.

The standard workweek for full-time employees shall be five (5) consecutive days, Monday through Friday consisting of eight (8) hours to be completed within an eight and one-half (8 ½) hour period for a total of forty (40) hours. Part-time employees shall work the hours assigned. Employees required by their supervisors to work more than their assigned hours are required to enter such time on their timesheets. Employees may work other schedules with the concurrence of the District. This provision shall in no way be construed to restrict the District’s right to assign overtime. Employees shall receive an unpaid, duty-free lunch period of at least thirty (30) minutes for a workday of more than five hours of scheduled paid work time. Example A: Lunch Paid Time Total Start Time: 8:00 a.m. 3 hours, 45 minutes – before lunch Break: 9:45 a.m. (15 min.) Paid time Lunch 11:45 a.m. Duty Free, unpaid Return to Work 12:15 p.m. Paid 2 hours, 45 minutes – after lunch End Time: 3:00 p.m. Total Shift: 6 hours, 30 min. Paid Time: 6 hours Example B: No Lunch Paid Time Total Start Time: 8:00 a.m. Break: 9:45 a.m. (15 min.) Paid time End Time: 1:00 p.m. Total Shift: 5 hours Employees shall receive a fifteen (15) minute rest period, as part of the regular workday, for each four (4) hours of work. For paraprofessionals, 30 minutes of each week shall be for the purpose of collaboration with colleagues. Travel time between schools shall be considered time worked when an employee’s work assignment, as established by the District, requires travel to complete consecutive work hours. An employee who voluntarily seeks two separate assignments shall not receive paid travel time. The starting and ending times for each employee shall be determined by the employee’s supervisor, based on the program and schedule. If the starting and ending times are to be changed, the supervisor will confer with the affected employee(s) prior to implementation. It is understood by the parties that for purposes of applying the Fair Labor Standards Act to employees covered by the FLSA, a work week is a seven (7) consecutive day period designated by the employer consisting of twenty-four (24) hours each day. The District’s seven-day period begins at 12:00 a.m., Monday, and runs through 11:59 p.m., Sunday.
Workday/Workweek. The regular workday and workweek for members will be determined by the Chief of Police. The regular workweek for members shall be forty (40) hours in a seven (7) day period. The normal work assignments shall be either five (5) consecutive eight (8.0) hour days with two (2) consecutive days off or at the discretion of the Chief, four (4) consecutive ten (10.0) hour days with three (3) consecutive days off. The Chief further reserves the right to develop a schedule of “12” hour shifts as an alternative to “8” or “10” hour shifts.
A. Scheduling assignments for shift changes or training seminars shall not constitute a violation of the consecutive days off provision of this Section.
B. Members shall not be required to flex time-off or take other leave to avoid overtime.
Workday/Workweek. The regular workday will be in accordance with Article 12. However, the workday may be established between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Current employees in the program will not be arbitrarily placed in positions which dramatically change their current hours.
Workday/Workweek. Without prior approval of the faculty, no faculty can be assigned hours that exceed a contiguous period (span) of seven and one-half (7.5) hours, including a thirty (30) minute meal period. The normal workweek for a full-time faculty member shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) hours. Daily teaching assignments beyond the normal workday, split shifts, or a non-standard workweek will be subject to Section 6.8.1.

The University may establish an alternate work schedule for represented employees considered to be “essential” employees, as determined by the business needs of the University, which shall not exceed eighty-four (84) hours in a fourteen (14) day work cycle. Prior to implementing such an alternate work schedule, the University shall provide thirty (30) calendar days’ notice to the affected employee(s).
B. The University retains the right to schedule its employees; however, the University will make a good faith effort, whenever practical, to provide employees with consecutive hours in the workday and consecutive days in the workweek.
