Continuing Contracts. a. A Continuing Contract is a contract which shall remain in effect until the teacher resigns, elects to retire or is retired pursuant to ORC 3307.37, or until it is terminated or suspended; and shall be granted only to teachers holding the certificate or license required by law. b. Teachers eligible for Continuing Contract Status shall be those teachers qualified as to certification or licensure who, within the last five (5) years, have taught for at least three (3) years in the Southeast District. A teacher eligible for Continuing Contract Status employed under an additional Limited Contract for not to exceed two (2) years, pursuant to written notice from the Superintendent of his/her intention to make such recommendation, is, at the expiration of such Limited Contract, deemed re-employed under a Continuing Contract at the same salary plus any increment granted by the Salary Schedule unless the Board, acting on the Superintendent's recommendation as to whether or not the teacher should be re-employed, gives such teacher written notice of its intention not to reemploy him/her on or before the first (1st) day of June. Continuing Contracts. a. Continuing Contracts. a. A Continuing Contract is 1. Teachers who anticipate eligibility for a continuing contract which shall remain during any year of a multi-year limited contract may, at their option, waive their right to such multi-year contract and be given a one-year limited contract.
