Teacher Contracts. A. Contracts for the employment of teachers shall be of two types: Limited Contracts and Continuing Contracts.
Teacher Contracts. 5.04.1 Teachers who possess a Resident Educator or Five-Year Professional teaching license and are employed under a limited contract of one year duration for five (5) consecutive years in the Chardon Local School District, if approved for further contract, will be recommended for a two (2) or three (3) year limited contract upon the recommendation of the building principal and the approval of the Superintendent and the Board of Education.
5.04.2 In order to be eligible for recommendation for a continuing contract, a teacher must utilize the following process:
A. Provide written notification to the Superintendent of intent to obtain continuing contract status. The notification must be received by September 15 of the year the teacher wishes to be evaluated for continuing contract consideration;
B. Provide a copy of the teacher's professional educator license by September 1 of the school year immediately subsequent to Board action on the continuing contract;
C. Show evidence, by September 1 of the year immediately subsequent to the Board action on the continuing contract, of thirty (30) semester hours in the field of licensure or an area related to the teaching field in third or fourth year undergraduate or graduate course work since the issuance of the initial Ohio professional license or Resident Educator license. If the teacher held a master’s degree at issuance of the initial license, show evidence of six (6) additional semester hours of graduate course work in the field of licensure or an area related to the teaching field.
D. Satisfactorily complete a three year probationary period (one year if continuing contract status has already been obtained in another Ohio public school district) as a teacher in the Chardon Local School District.
5.04.3 The Board may extend the probationary period of a teacher eligible for continuing contract for one or two years upon notification to the teacher that one more limited contract of one or two year duration will be issued. Such notification shall specify the areas of improvement expected of such teacher.
5.04.4 Teachers' contracts and salary notifications will be based on the school calendar adopted by the Board of Education annually for a period of one hundred eighty-five (185) days.
5.04.5 All teachers employed by the Board shall be issued written individual contracts in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code. Such contracts shall include the following information:

Teacher Contracts. 10.18.1 Teachers shall be awarded limited contracts on the following schedule:
Teacher Contracts a. Prior to August 15 of each year, new, full-time, licensed teachers will be hired under regular contracts without one (1) year addendum, unless hired to fill specific vacancies caused by leaves of absence or positions contingent upon the continuation of state or federal grants, experimental programs or other specially funded programs. After August 15 of each year, new, full-time, licensed teachers may be hired under one year or less than one (1) year addenda, depending on time of hire date.
b. Any such addendum must be signed by the teacher and attached to the teacher's contract.
c. If any position being filled under an addendum becomes available for permanent employment, it shall be opened for voluntary transfer/reassignment. If the teacher filling the position under an addendum has received satisfactory evaluations, that teacher's application will be processed in the same manner and considered according to the same criteria as any other teacher's application for transfer.
d. If a teacher who has completed a one (1) year addendum is hired for a permanent position and the teacher meets the requirements for post-probationary status under NRS 391, the teacher shall be hired as a post-probationary employee. In such case, employment worked under the addendum shall be counted toward seniority.
Teacher Contracts. A. The board of education shall enter into written contracts for the employment and reemployment of all teachers. Contracts for the employment of teachers shall be of three
Teacher Contracts. A. There shall be three types of contracts:
1. regular teaching contracts: contracts issued to full or part time certificated/licensed teachers for teaching duties shall be of two types, limited or continuing, as specified in the O.R.C.;
2. supplemental contracts: contracts issued to certificated/licensed staff members, full or part time, or to lay persons for co- or extra-curricular or athletic duties;
3. subcontracted services contracts: contracts issued to non- certificated/licensed persons engaged in instructional activities as limited by this Agreement.
B. Supplemental contracts issued to bargaining unit members shall be automatically non-renewed for the next school year without the Board having to provide written notice of such non-renewal. Supplemental contracts issued to non-bargaining unit members shall be non-renewed for the next school year through board action.
C. Subcontracted services contracts shall only be one-year contracts which shall be automatically non-renewed for the next school year.
Teacher Contracts. A. Probationary teachers shall be required to sign an individual contract each year. Tenure teachers shall be required to sign a continuing contract. Any contract offered to a bargaining unit member shall contain the following provision: This contract is subject to a collective labor agreement heretofore or hereafter negotiated by the Employer and the exclusive bargaining representative of teachers and other employees who are members of the teacher bargaining unit employed by the Employer. This contract is also subject to Board policies pertaining to prohibited subjects of bargaining, including, but not limited to, Board policy pertaining to reduction of staff. The terms of such collective labor agreement are incorporated herein and by accepting and signing this contract, I agree to be bound by all such terms, including provisions of Article VIII (Payroll Deductions; Teacher Contracts).
B. An individual notice shall be sent to each bargaining unit member specifying changes in salary and extracurricular assignments by October 1.
Teacher Contracts. All teaching contracts granted by the London Board of Education to bargaining unit members shall be issued in accordance with Sections 3319.07, 3319.08
Teacher Contracts. Upon the recommendation the Superintendent, the Board will issue contracts as follows:
A. Teachers new to the system will be employed for one year.
B. Instructional personnel hired under provisional certification/licensure will be given an initial limited contract of one year – this may be renewed no more than once. Then a three-year contract will be issued. This may be renewed no more than once. After a total of eight years all subsequent limited contracts shall be for five years. This procedure is contingent upon satisfactory performance as determined through the Board adopted evaluation procedure. However, the Board recognizes a need for teacher non-renewal for other than performance in state and federal programs funded on a limited basis.
C. Teachers who attain or hold a professional life or permanent certificate, or professional license who satisfy all legal requirements for a continuing contract shall complete the terms of their current contracts before being offered a continuing contract. However, the Board shall upon written application of the teacher involved, raise the question of granting a continuing contract before the full term of the limited contract has been achieved.
D. Teachers who qualify for a continuing contract and wish to be considered for tenure will notify the Superintendent prior to March 1. However, failure to notify the Superintendent shall not cause the teacher to waive his/her right to a continuing contract. (See ADDENDUM G)
E. Certificated staff hired and currently on staff prior to May 1, 2011 shall remain on salary schedule “A” until retirement, resignation, or termination with Fort Loramie Local Schools. Certificated staff hired after May 1, 2011, shall remain on salary schedule “B” until retirement, resignation, or termination with Fort Loramie Local Schools.
Teacher Contracts. 4.01 The regular teaching year shall consist of 184 work days (185 work days for teachers newly hired by the Board).
4.02 The regular teaching day shall consist of no more than seven and one- fourth (7 1/4) consecutive hours, inclusive of a thirty (30) minute duty-free lunch.
