CONTINUOUS BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT. The Company and the Union are committed to a process of continuous improvement in order to ensure the economic viability of our business, which will in turn support a qualified and cost effective yet highly skilled and efficient workforce. The Parties acknowledge that there is a commitment to resolve or to minimize any adverse effects resulting from the implementation of any Business Improvement on the workforce in keeping with the practice of the Parties related to previous departmental restructurings. In order to give affect to the above commitments the Parties have agreed to a Letter of Agreement which further outlines the criteria to be utilized for assessing any Business Improvement initiatives including but not limited to Workplace Reorganization (i) and Contracting Out (iii).
