Common use of Continuous Service Clause in Contracts

Continuous Service. ‌ Continuous service will be employment unbroken by separation from the COUNTY service, other than by military, Peace Corps, vacation, paid disability leave or UNION Leave in accordance with Article 4, Section 1(F). Time spent on other types of authorized leave will not count as time of continuous service, except that employees returning from such leave, or employees who were laid off, will be entitled to credit for service prior to the leave or layoff. The application of Seniority will be as provided for in Section 1 of this Article.
