Contract Negotiations Meetings. One employee per region selected as a member of the negotiating team on behalf of the Association, for the purpose of collective bargaining at the National level, shall be granted leave with pay in accordance with the following conditions: 38.9.1 application for leave for this purpose shall be made at least five (5) calendar days before the day leave is to commence; and 38.9.2 the leave shall be for the period of the negotiations meetings, and preparations therefore, plus traveling time to and from the appropriate locations.
