Effective the first day of the pay period following ratification through the June 2022 pay period, due to the significant economic impacts of the COVID-19 Recession, in accordance with Section 3517.6 of the Government Code, notwithstanding any other provision of law, the following economic provision of the existing memorandum of understanding (MOU), which requires the expenditure of funds for increased salaries and wages that was to become effective at any point during the 2020-21 or 2021-22 fiscal years, is hereby suspended:

CONTRACT REOPENER LANGUAGE. The Board and the Union agree that should any of the following events occur during this 2016-2020 Agreement, they are concerned about the financial health of the School District: Pension Shift: Any legislatively mandated increase in the Board’s required employer contributions to TRS; Property Tax Freeze: Any freeze or reduction in property tax revenue as a result of newly enacted legislation resulting in a decrease of fifteen percent (15%) or more of property tax revenue based on current 2016-2017 formula projections; or, State Aid: Any decrease in general state aid of fifteen percent (15%) or more from the previous school year.

  • Mandate Letter language The Funder will receive a Mandate Letter from the Ministry annually.
