Common use of CONTRARY TO LAW Clause in Contracts

CONTRARY TO LAW. In the event any article, section or portion of this Agreement should be held unlawful by any court of competent jurisdiction, only the specified article, section or portion thereof shall be invalid; all other articles, sections and portions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect for the duration of the Agreement. Upon issuance of such a decision, the Board and the Union agree to immediately negotiate a substitute, if possible, for the invalidated article, section or portion thereof.
