Common use of Contribution to Non Career Employees Clause in Contracts

Contribution to Non Career Employees. a. The City agrees to contribute City dollars as provided below, on either a 100% or 50% basis, for non-career (+1,040) employees. Except as provided herein, the City dollars shall be applied toward the premiums for City-sponsored medical and dental insurance plans for eligible employees and qualified dependents, if any. The amount of City contribution for each of the first two (2) pay periods of each month shall be based on the number of hours for which the employee was paid in that bi-weekly pay period: 64 or more hours paid = 100% contribution; 40-63.9 hours paid = 50% contribution.
