Contribution to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. The access rights regulated by the Agreement are essential to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities and protect our planet. They are also fundamental to strengthen transparent and participatory democracies in which people are meaningfully involved in the decisions that affect their lives and environment. The generation of data on sustainable development, timely access to information, knowledge and information and communications technologies, education for sustainable development, participatory planning and management and the fostering of peaceful and strong institutions are some of the areas in which the Escazú Agreement offers added value. This makes the Agreement particularly relevant in the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Escazú Agreement fosters multilateralism for sustainable development and supports the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Its tenets are interwoven with all SDGs (see diagram I.5). In particular, the Escazú Agreement supports Goal 16 which promotes peaceful and inclusive societies, requires the guarantee of equal access to justice, effective, reliable and transparent institutions and the adoption of inclusive, participatory and representative decisions. It also calls for public access to information and the promotion of non-discriminatory laws and policies for sustainable development. The effective implementation of the Escazú Agreement likewise strengthens the balanced implementation of the three dimensions of sustainable development: economic, social and environmental.   • Sustainable Development 4.1 The Authority will review the Contractor’s Sustainable Development Policy Statement and Sustainable Development Plan submitted by the Contractor in accordance with the Schedule (Sustainable Development Requirements) and then at least annually thereafter.

  • Design Development Phase Services 3.3.1 Based on the Owner’s approval of the Schematic Design Documents, and on the Owner’s authorization of any adjustments in the Project requirements and the budget for the Cost of the Work, the Architect shall prepare Design Development Documents for the Owner’s approval. The Design Development Documents shall illustrate and describe the development of the approved Schematic Design Documents and shall consist of drawings and other documents including plans, sections, elevations, typical construction details, and diagrammatic layouts of building systems to fix and describe the size and character of the Project as to architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems, and other appropriate elements. The Design Development Documents shall also include outline specifications that identify major materials and systems and establish, in general, their quality levels.

  • Synchronization, Commissioning and Commercial Operation 4.1.1 The Power Producer shall give at least thirty (30) days written notice to the SLDC and GUVNL, of the date on which it intends to synchronize the Power Project to the Grid System.

  • Development Plans 4.3.1 For each Licensed Indication and corresponding Licensed Product in the Field, Licensee will prepare and deliver to Licensor a development plan and budget (each a “Development Plan”).   • Faculty Development Faculty who develop and/or teach Distance Education courses shall be provided with reasonable technical support and opportunities for Faculty development, consistent with the needs of the Faculty and availability of Board resources and services for that purpose. In the event that a Faculty member develops and/or teaches a Distance Education course for the first time, the Faculty member shall receive reasonable and appropriate professional development and technical support assistance, consistent with the needs of the Faculty and availability of Board resources and services for that purpose. In instances of succeeding assignments to teach Distance Education courses, the Faculty member is expected to demonstrate a level of technical competence sufficient to teach the course. Ongoing technical support assistance may be available to Faculty who teach succeeding offerings of the same course.

  • Professional Development Reimbursement Management will provide reimbursement for approved professional development expenses for Lieutenants and Sergeants. Funds may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing Lieutenants and Sergeants for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities. Management must approve of the specific professional development request in advance. Denial will require written notification to the requesting Lieutenant or Sergeant.
