The Seller shall maintain a system for the purpose of periodic evaluation and calibration of this equipment and traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Evidence of evaluation and calibration shall be recorded and made available to Buyer’s personnel, customers or any appropriate regulatory agency upon request.

Control of Inspection Measuring and Test Equipment. 10.1 QTS shall establish and maintain documented procedures to control, calibrate, and maintain inspection, measuring and test equipment used by QTS to demonstrate the conformance of Product/package to the specified requirements. Inspection, measuring and test equipment shall be used in a manner which ensures that the measurement uncertainty is known and is consistent with the required measurement capability.

If decal cannot be placed on equipment, the process source shall have an approved identification record of the calibration status, and asess the validity of previous inspection results when equipment is found to be faulty or out of calibration and shall recall the product for re-inspection when the assessment indicates the result may be a nonconforming product.
